Prize Giving Award Ceremony 2018

With spectacular achievements in both academic and curriculum activity, Taylor's School of Pharmacy students' who have worked hard are acknowledge every year through the SOP Award Ceremony. We would like to congratulate all the students who did their best in the past 2 semesters to achieve a GPA of 3.5 and higher.

 The ceremony commenced with our lecturer, Dr. Jason Loo giving his opening speech.

The ceremony then continued with the awarding of certificate to students who scored a minimum of GPA 3.5 and above in each semester. The time and effort they put into their studies finally bears fruitful results!

For those who did better, maintaining the highest CGPA in their respective year, were awarded the AbbVie Book Prize to congratulate them for dedicating their effort into their studies.

We are deeply sorry to those who did receive the dean's list award but did not appear here due to technical difficulties during the ceremony.

Other than academic awards, Taylor's School of Pharmacy also emphasize on the importance of curriculum activities. Hence, students who took up leadership roles in organizing events were also awarded the AbbVie Award for Extracurricular Excellence, receiving a letter of recognition and a prize.

For year 4 Students, Joyce Teng, Ren Zhang and Sherli Kee competed for the Wellchem Outstanding Pharmacy Student Award and Sherli Kee emerged as the winner! We congratulate all three of them for striving high and giving their very best for the past 4 years!

As the winner, Sherli Kee was welcomed onto stage to share a few words and to give her advice to the juniors.

Last but not least, Professor Thomas, gave his closing speech and urged students who have years to come to continue striving to achieve better and aim higher. With his best wishes, he ended his speech with an applaud from all the students, staff and sponsors present!

To all those who did not receive an award that day, we say to you, "Don't give up because there is always a next time and it is never too late to give it your all!". We hope one day that not some but all Taylor's SOP students will be able to stand on stage to receive an award.

Finally, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks our sponsors, Wellchem and AbbVie. This award ceremony would not have been possible if not for their generous cash prizes.
