Public Health Campaign 2018 - Know Diabetes No Diabetes

Public Health Campaign is an annual event organized by Taylor's University Pharmacy Student Society (TuPSS). This year, the theme was "Know Diabetes, No Diabetes".

The event fell on April 29th 2018 and it was held in Subang Parade.

On that day, the event started at 10.30am as people started to fill the mall. Attracted to the music and announcements, people who came across the event eventually stop by to have a look at what we were doing there.

Not forgetting to mention, aside from free checkups, we also collaborate with the Pusat Darah Negara to give a chance to those who are fit to help others! Now who says heroes wore caps all the time <3

Besides that, the committees of TEMP who are part of TuPSS also willingly gave their time and energy to help the community as their main objective has always been to walk the extra mile. They had a fund raising event alongside the Public Health Campaign by selling fruits that have low sugar content! Kudos to the team!!

The committee also prepared a few other activities for the benefit of the audience like a cooking show which taught the public how to cook in a more healthy manner.

They say, an apple a day keeps the doctor away but eating healthy should also be combined with exercise. Hence, towards the end of the event, there was a Zumba session where everyone who was interested joined the dance floor!!
