Special thanks to Sam, our emcee for that night |
The event started with speeches from our OCP, Leong Chee Hong, and the dean of School of Pharmacy, Prof. Thomas.
Soup (Creamy Mushroom Soup) was served at about 7.12pm and followed by starter (Smoked Salmon Salad) at 7.27pm. While enjoying our food, the first performance was shown by our students from year 1, 3, and 4. It was a play and dance named Cinderfella. This performance was very entertaining and the audiences had a good laugh watching the males acting as female characters, and this had lightened up the mood of the whole night.
At about 7.50pm, the main course was served. Our main course were Rib Eye Steak and Chicken Golden Bieu, the participants got to choose which one they preferred. Besides, vegetarian main course was also provided for our participants who are vegetarians.
After our delicious main course, the hall was filled by amazing voice from our talented year 3 student, Vincent Ngu. He is the talented singer in our pharmacy school and the song he performed for the night was You Raise Me Up. The spotlight shined on Vincent made him looked like a bright star that night.
The 3rd performance was a kpop dance performed by our students from year 2, 3 and 4. The dancers were so energetic and the appearance of the male dancers at the last part of the dance had added some colours to the whole performance. We could not tell that they are pharmacy students because they looked like professional dancers!
Then came the time that everybody was awaiting for, it was time to announce our nominees for prom king and prom queen. They were invited on stage to do a cat walk down the red carpet runway and the audiences could not stop cheering for these handsome gentlemen and beautiful ladies.

While waiting for the outcome of our prom kind and prom queen, we proceeded with our next performance. It was a singing performance by our year 2 student, Patricia while our year 4 student, Cheryl played the piano.
Both of them are very talented in music and most people were singing and clapping along too!
At around 8.40pm, a 4th year dedication video was played, and followed by a surprise video prepared by the organizing committees for the year 4 seniors. Then, it was time to present mementos for the year 4, and the representative, Jenning, was invited on stage to give a speech.
After that, a memento was presented to a year 2 student, Shee Mei, who will be transferring to University of South Australia to continue her 3rd and 4th year of pharmacy student life. There was also a surprise prepared for her by the year 2 students. It was indeed a very touching moment and that very moment was captured down as the photos below.
At around 9.25pm, it was time for our boy band performance by the year 4. They can really sing! You cannot tell that they are our year 4 pharmacy students because all four of them have really amazing voice. The audiences used the flashlight on their phone and swung their arms with the spotlight in hand. That was really a superb and fantastic show!

The vice president of TuPSS, Ng Kar Weng, was invited on stage to present the awards for the winning lecturers.
