On the 27th October 2017, Taylor's University Pharmacy Student Society had an Installation Night Dinner at Ole Ole Bali in Sunway Pyramid. The purpose of the dinner was to welcome the new incoming TuPSS committee for the term 17/18 as well as to thank the outgoing committee for all the effort they have put into making TuPSS into what it is today.

The dinner started at 7.00 pm and half way through, our new President, Joyce Tan, presented gifts to the outgoing committee. Each of them was gifted with a mug filled with assorted chocolates. Dr. Jason Loo who is our lecturer and advisor was also presented with a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates from the outgoing President, Jason Lee.

 Pressies!

 Ferrero Rocher Chocolates 😍😍

 Yummy 😋

Everyone enjoyed the delicious, savoury food and the night continued with laughter, jokes and happiness until about 9.30pm. Before the dinner ended, the committee took a group picture and everyone went home safely with a happy tummy and huge smiles on their faces. It was indeed a memorable night. 💓

It’s that time of the year for TuPSS where the baton has to be passed down from the previous leaders to new upcoming leaders. For TuPSS, every year an Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held to elect a new president for the year to come and as well as a team of dedicated committees and this year, it was held on the 2nd October 2017

ORGANISATION CHART FOR TERM 2017/2018

The previous term was lead by

Jason Lee (President)

and he was assisted by

Leong Chee Hong (Vice President)

Both of them carried out their roles excellently and were able to achieve making the year 2017 a glorious year forr TuPSS. The committee consisted of:

Internal Secretary Agnes Lim

External Secretary Ng Sin Yee

Treasurer Wong Mun Yen

Project Management Director: Sarah Lee Ann

Joyce Tan

Chin Ling Yuan

Ng Xiao Ying

Editorial Board Director: Reynard Aw

Matthias Tan

Head of TEMP: Chua Sher Fern

Low Yi Pei

Scarlett Lee

Ng Kar Weng

This amazing group of people organized many significant and successful events like the most recent VIP Charity Run and Public Health Campaign.

However, it has come to that time of the year where their dedication, commitment and hard work has to be passed on to a new group of upcoming leaders. Many were brave enough and stepped out of their comfort zones by nominating themselves for different position that TuPSS had to offer. Nevertheless, the process of elimination was tough as choices had to be made to choose the right persons for the right job. Votes were casted during the AGM after each nominee presented their ideas for the coming term and we finally now have a new group of committees for the term 2017/18.

Having said that, we are proud to present our newly elected President, Joyce Tan Yi Pei and Vice president elect, Chin Ling Yuan who will now carry the responsibility to guide TuPSS by continuing what the last term has accomplished and to achieve even greater things.

As new term members take their place on the board, they would then continue to keep striving to achieve what we want to achieve as a whole unit, the Pharmacy Student Society. Thus, TuPSS  presents the profiles for the new term:

Joyce Tan Yi Pei

Chin Ling Yuan

Alvina Kueh

Emily Chung

Chua Sher Fern

Ong Yi Xian

Ong Wei Qiao

You Xiao Quen

Christopher Wong

Amanda Keo

Mok Chi Zen

Gayithiri Vijaya Kumar

Lip Shan Non

Michelle Ting

Once again, a HUGE SHOUT OUT to the previous TuPSS committees for all they have contributed towards building TuPSS to what it has become today and for setting the bar so high, giving the new TuPSS committees the motivation to achieve as much if not more.

Signing off,
Christopher Wong & Amanda Keo
