To continue the tradition of cultivating sportsmanship, on 19 Nov 2016, TuPSS has organised TuPSS Badminton Day at South Quay Badminton Court from 12pm until 4 pm.

This was the first event organised by our new year 1 project management committees and received great response from our members. Women singles, men’s singles, women’s doubles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles matches were successfully carried out on that day. A special highlight of this year's badminton day was the presence of supporters supporting their favourite players.

All the participants did their very best and the sportsmanship was clearly shown. Besides, the comments and feedbacks received from the participants after the competition were overwhelmingly positive.

Here are the photos of the day.

On 8th of November 2016 (Tuesday), our lovely TEMP committee members (Chua Sher Fern, Low Yi Pei, Ng Kar Weng and Scarlett Lee) had organised their very first fruit sales in our campus. The main objective of this event is to have fund raising and 100% of the fund will be channeled to TEMP targeted community. Besides, this also creates a good opportunity for our juniors to get to know more about what actually TEMP do.

TEMP a.k.a The Extra Miles Program, is a new initiative under TuPSS which acts as a platform for future community service projects, they often liaise with external parties such as Pusat Perjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah(PPKKCTM) to carry out community projects, which provide a good opportunity for our members to get exposed to the community during their studies.

Guess what? They have bananas!

Besides, they still have chocolate dipping for bananas!

Guavas!!! extraordinary rich in vitamin C!

If you want to have some varieties of fruits, they have mixed fruits as well!

Here are our pretty TEMP's committees! !

They received good reviews from customers!

Our TEMP director Sher Fern was busying serving customers..

Too many customers? Sher Fern burst out laughing !

Other than fruits selling, they also set up a donation box for donation.
"Little little will become a lot"

 Mixed fruits ambassador...

Lastly, very thankful for the helpers!

This sums up our TEMP's very first fruits sales! If you happened to miss the first sales, no worries, TEMP will be having another event very soon! Stay tuned for further information.

Lastly, let's shout out our TEMP's slogan!
EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES, CHANGING LIVES !!!

The TuPSS Committee 2016/2017 Installation Dinner was held successfully at After Black located just beside Sunway University on Thursday night, 10th Nov 2016 which started from 6.00pm until 8.00pm . We appreciate the presence of Dr.P.T Thomas and Dr Jason Loo Siau Ee for this dinner which highlighted this event. The objective for this event is to allow them to interact with each other especially between juniors and seniors , so that they could get to know each other better and creating a stronger bond between committee members which in turn can facilitate the collaboration in the coming future.

On 13th October 2016, TUPSS held its Annual General Meeting together with the election of the new TUPSS 2016/2017 board.

This year, the AGM was conducted in LT1, most of our members turned up to cast their vote for the new committee to determine the voices that will be representing in many different aspects in the University and National Level in the future.

The event started with speeches delivered by Prof Thomas and Dr. Jason, both of them were really impressed by the results in the previous year, as a lot of achievements have been achieved such as 1st place 8th MyPSA Rx Quiz , 3rd place at 2nd MyPSA National Clinical Pharmacy Challenge, 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze from National Pharmacy Sports Carnival 2016 and many more. Our outgoing president, Mr. Loke Ren Zhang, also delivered a speech to appreciate the previous board for the hard work done in the student body and he also wished the new committee all the best in their new reign.

The official election started with the speeches being delivered by nominees who had gone through an interview process by the previous board members, that was the time where the nominees were given a chance to impress the crowd and to hopefully earn votes. We also used Facebook Live Stream to allow those members who are not able to attend the meeting to cast their vote.

After all the votes were collected, the results were as follow:

President - Jason Lee Whuan Chuian
Vice President - Leong Chee Hong
External Secretary - Ng Sin Yee

We hope that with the new TUPSS committee 2016/2017, more achievements can be made and shape a brighter future for TUPSS.
