On the 13th of August, 9 students from Taylor’s University made their way enthusiastically all the way up north to AIMST University, Kedah in order to close the gaps between Taylor’s University pharmacy students and pharmacy students from various universities across Malaysia. We set off early to be there in time for the registration session that began at 2.00 p.m. Upon registration we were given our groups which were named after the 20 amino acids for example; alanine, cysteine, glutamine, methionine and so on. After that we were ushered to our hostel rooms to settle in and get some rest before the activities officially began.

After dinner, we gathered in our groups and made our way to the sports complex in which the ice breaking activities took place in. We were given a task to come up with our group’s cheer and flag. The groups were selected in random to go up and present their cheer and flag to everyone.
Later, the groups were given some newspaper and cellophane tape and asked to build a tower. In the end, the group which produced the highest and steadiest tower won the challenge. The night ended with everyone dancing to the tune of the ever famous chicken dance which got everyone moving to the beat.
